I'm pretty sick of feeling so crappy all the time (health-wise), I'm so tired all the time, and my brain is so foggy (that's the best way I can describe it).
Has anyone found that a change in diet can lift this a bit?
Oh, and this is due to a brain haemorrhage I had 2 years ago.

Ben pm me - with an email address - I'll scan and send copy of nutritionists sheets of recommended daily intake of foods with required nutritional elements. Eat little and often on a daily basis - 5 times a day to cover all nutritional needs.
Its in french cos that's where I am - perhaps you can get it translated and if mum can give you some dry-storage items from the list. it could help you.

I found living the "clean" life helped me. So its reducing the processed foods, no coffee, no alcohol, reduce the sugar, plenty of fruit and veg and also lots of protein. Take some hi strength vitamins and things like Omega 3.
I try to take a wider approach... Drink plenty of water, eat regularly (fresh and not processed foods), get plenty of rest and exercise (exercise whichever bits you can - both mind and body).as much as possible ..and laugh every day. May sound silly and might have to be forced at first but laughter really is good medicine.
Ovbiously you can do what you want, but since you already have brain fog without the addition of a neurotoxin, I would just steer clear of it. By the time a normal person gets buzzed you could already feel severly drunk. It just leads to crippled decision making for normal people who drink, let alone ppl with brain i juries.
difficult one to answer, my wife likes cooking so as you can imagine i've been well fed, partially since I hardly ate anything in hospital so the urge to feed me up was high in the wife.
I've attempted to listen to my body it needs much more frequent fueling, every few hours, where as before it could run for days, on a cup of coffee.
in terms of clear thinking slowly ramping up exercise apears to help me, if nothing else it raised my mood.
I wobble a bit balance wise when tired so i've not bothered with drink nor have I missed it.
I exercise a lot...but I've been at uni recently so my diet has gone to hell because I've been so tired (getting to uni etc.), so it's a bit of a vicious cycle.
Can you tell I don't drink? Alcohol just never occurred to me at all... but now that it has been mentioned I would advise avoiding it on a regular basis and if its a big part of your life then maybe keeping it only in moderation and definitely with food.
Life is way too short to ban all pleasures but common sense needs to be applied and is possibly one of the only things that does not need to be used in moderation
Ben!!! I heard that a steady diet of marshmellows and jellybeans add 5 years to a person's overall lifespan. But only if you eat them while drinking at least 6 cans of diet coke a day. Good luck! Let me know how you come out
I try to eat fresh, I try to eat lots of small meals because I get fed up before I finish a main meal.
I eat yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and an apple at half ten (break time) then soup and a roll at lunch. When I get home at half three I have a couple of biscuits with a cuppa an tea time is anywhere from 6 pm thru till 8 pm depending on how tired I am or how much help I get with making tea.
I used to forget to eat a lot but since I'm at work I get breaks and everyone eats so I do too!
You need to drink lots of water too. I am less tired now I'm in a regular routine and don't forget too sleep!
Ps I also forget to follow my own advice sometimes an I get very tired and grumpy and foggy, which builds till. Crash and I start all over again.
