It's Friday night after a very long, emotional week. Should I; a) Tackle a mountain of ironing therefore making life easier (less cries of "Where's my....? "and subsequent pile rooting) and feeling smug. Or b) Open a bottle of red and take command of the remotes... But this means probable crying tomorrow. (me. Possibly kids too.) Or c) Give up and go to bed.

Wine or ironing?
Fraid if it were me, it'd probably be neither! I can only manage 1 glass of wine / alcohol without being badly affected and then only with a meal and I'm very obsessive with the ironing these days I can only do 6 items max at a time so have to do 6 a day or it builds up too much what a life eh?
Oh for normality!!!!
Enjoy the wine, life's too short xxxxxxxx Janet
I know what is it with this head injury !! It makes us walk and talk like we have had a few, gives us a perpetual headache like the mother of all hangovers but won't let us tolerate more than one
The persons whom invented head injuries has a weird sense of humour
THIS IS THE PERFECT WAY TO EXPLAIN BI TO SO CALLED NORMAL PEOPLE. I WILL USE IT!!
Funny that............I've just finished an overdue pile of ironing & now looking through Headway posts with cup of cappuccino ........................and feeling exceedingly smug !!
xx
I can't make decisions so decided to do all 3. I'll iron at least 6 things, then have a glass of wine and go to bed.
Alcohol isn't a good idea for me either.... But I think one glass is justified. Might get some sleep. (yes I know that isn't a wise plan but it does help stop nightmares. Ptsd is no fun)
The ironing pile is like a big ugly boil. Just knowing it's there is misery but a massive relief once it's gone! Xx
Good compromise. Good luck. Sleep well. xx
I do my mountain on Sunday in preparation for Monday. I wash on Thursday Friday and Saturday. There is not that much really I just forget to empty washer into dryer.
I like to have a glass of wine occasionally. I get the mini bottles of wine because when I have one glass I don't want another for months.
I'm a very cheap night out!
Hope you make a dent in the pile and relax with a drop of wine before you drop into bed!
I think I would chosen the more needed ones - then had my wine and sod the rest lol
Confession. I had 2 glasses of wine and did no ironing at all! On a mission now though... Well I'm planning on being on a mission, might stick the kettle on first... Xx
My kind of girl xxxxxx Janet
SUGGESTIONS: GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE IRONING, BUY ONLY FABRICS THAT DON'T NEED IRONNG!, ASK YOURSELF DOES THIS ARTICLE REALLY NEED IRONING- EG SHEETS ETC NO ONES GOING TO SEE THEM ON THE BED IT'S NOT BEING LAZY OR SLOVENLY IT'S SELF PRESERVATION.. THEN HAVE A GLASS OF WINE & GRAB THE REMOTES.
Ive never done sheets, don't see the point, I have a shop right across the road that does ironing, so I went in to see the cost, £1 an item 90p for tshirts, that's when I decided I'd do 6 items a day, well it's gone up to 10 now, that's £10 worth each day, I'm worth a fortune!! I just need to do it more regularly, like now I can't get in the kitchen cos my husbands fixing the unit that's collapsed, but that's ok, any excuse
Don't drink! Okay, I'm biased -histotoxic hypoxia from alcohol poisoning is the reason why I have brain damage.. But as long as you are very careful with it you should be okay, just remember it is a form of poison.
I conquered my mountain! Sat on top of it wearing a party hat, waving a little flag... Nah, but I did enjoy that smugness... until I folded the next 3 loads. Onwards and upwards! Xx
