I went to my second IAPT appointment yesterday after being referred by the head injury department who saw me after my TBI years ago.
Other than being to the doctors I haven't seen anyone about it preferring until the last year or so to block it out. Anti depressants seem to work for quite for short periods of time but never really a long term fix. After a change and a really bad year on Sertraline I threw them in the bin and have not taken anymore since.
I have been told the IAPT service is new and hasn't been around that long so I'm quite hopeful this can help. I have put this on as maybe others on here also have used or would find it helpful to use this service. I have another 6 appointment so will see how I get on.

I will watch with interest, I've never had any referals apart from sight and vertigo, I seem to cope ok with the psychological side, well on the surface anyway, hope it works for you. Love Janet xxxxx
