homozygous, so I have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve had a thought 💭

I’m homozygous/have the 2 copies for H63D. I’ve have higher ferritin levels over past 7/8 years ranges from circa 180 upto 380 at times. I found out as hubby bought me a Family history genetic test as a present and it included health DNA results. For years & prior to the genetic test & since, I have been in poor health with many various symptoms but the worst debilitation are the varying areas of body pain, chronic fatigue, skin issues, Tinnitus etc etc etc. I’ve a working Rheumatologist diagnosis of Fibromyalgia (& CFS/ME). Treatment is painkillers and low dose antidepressants to curb symptoms & help me sleep. This year in Jan 24 after sleep study, I’ve added severe obstructive sleep apnea & have to sleep with a full face C-PAP mask. I was stopping breathing on average 45.5 times per hour 😲. I thought that would be the reason behind all my symptoms & over time I would get better. I haven’t really noticed any improvement & i religiously use my CPAP machine. So, once I got the H638D double gene results, Also, blood type “O RH Negative” & 78% genetically Irish/Scottish, so def Celtic Blood. I took the results to GP. She referred it to Heptology Team for a look. They said GP to monitor Ferritin levels annually to see if increasing. That was it. I am now wondering if I should be asking for an actual face to face meeting with Specialist Team. My health & various symptoms are getting more severe & I cannot work anymore. Years ago, before Fibromyalgia,CFS, H683D known I had an abdominal scan for general pain, results mentioned in passing, some NAFLD & reflective something or other. Nothing happened with that.

Also, I seem to be a human barometer these days, the changes in weather have some correlation to the severity of my symptoms. So, my thoughts are, mercury is used in barometers & it’s a liquid metal. So , could in theory, people with higher ferritin also,an iron &meta in blood/liquid form react to the changes in atmospheric pressure?

Could the earth’s magnetic pull make joints hurt more intensely, increase stomach issues, increase brain fog, headaches, increase chronic fatigue/lethargy symptoms? I know, I am likely going to make some of you laugh at this 🤭

First, it's important that you are under medical supervision.

Not everyone with the hemochromatosis mutation develops the disease, or they may not develop it fully.

Your ferritin levels are not high; I reached a ferritin level of 1200. Even so, it’s good to monitor your ferritin levels, serum iron, transferrin saturation, etc. Hemochromatosis is complex and depends on your gender (it doesn’t affect men and women in the same way), age, and other factors.

Keep in mind that ferritin alone is also an inflammatory marker and doesn’t necessarily have to be linked to hemochromatosis; for example, fatty liver can alter its values.

I believe the levels of iron in the body are too minimal to be affected by magnetic fields or atmospheric changes. In my case, by the time I reached depletion (removing all the iron), I think they extracted about 3/4 grams of iron in total.
