I am suffering from pre diagnosis symptoms and the consultant has basically said it must be the coeliac but I have a very strict diet and know I have not had gluten at all.
Has anyone suffered much worse sympto... - Gluten Free Guerr...
Has anyone suffered much worse symptoms during pregnancy? I am pregnant for the fourth time but first since being coeliac.

First of all congratulation on being pregnant. Now I'm a blokey so can not speak from personal experience but as no-one else has answered this, my first thought is: Is being pregnant making you more sensitive to traces of gluten?
I have noticed that the longer a coeliac is on a strict gf diet, they then realise that they can no longer tolerate foods like codex wheat starch and oat gluten. I am classed as a ''super-sensitive coeliac'' so super sensitivity interests me and some coeliac can not even tolerate wheat deriv's. I am not saying coeliac should not eat codex but just be aware that not all coeliac can tolerate it and the same goes for oats.
Your body is under greater strain by having to provide nourishment for your baby and this is often the trigger for initial diagnosis for some female coeliac.
You may also have developed an intolerance to fructose or lactose so it might be worth keeping a food diary and discussing an elimination diet with a dietician as you and your baby need good nourishment so I would definately get giudance from a dietician.
I have a few relatrives with the condition and none of them have suffered worse symtoms when pregnant.
