I find calcium tricky - some give me migraines, some the runs, and some make me feel generally yuk. Try a different brand for the weekly one and see if that helps.

Ii think you will find that the one weekly isn't calcium but alendronic acid - the one where you have to stay upright for half an hour after taking it as that's what I take with my 2 a day calcium. It isn't a calcium tablet but can give stomach problems. Best to ask the Doc.

the calcium tablets upset my stomach a bit and I read somewhere that it might be the artificial sweeteners used in them because once you have one intolerance you sometimes develop others! Do diet drinks upset you at all? I find that diet coke gives me a sore stomach and head. xx

Hi all. My doctor put me on a yearly infusion of alendronic acid called zometa. After 2 infusions I had side effects of extra bone growth on my mandible that had to be surgically removed. I also now cannot have any teeth extracted because of possible side affects of the jaw bone. Are the tablets the same I wonder? Might be worth some research. The infusion is now banned where I live.
