Any one else have Coeliac disease and high cholestral have any tips on how to deal with both?

Sorry not an answer, but I have coeliac and have just been told my cholestral is high, even though I eat a good diet. I have been told that eating celery is a good way to lower cholestral naturally - as I like celery that is going to be one option for me.
Try fish oil capsules, ensure they have high EPA levels. These have a proven beneficial impact on cholesterol and are often prescribed as an alternative to statins.
There appears to be some evidence that reducing your carbohydrates (especially processed carbs, sugar etc) can help reduce cholesterol, but it's a complicated subject! lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/f...
Thank you for those who posted . Been put on statins so now have to see what the next 6 months bring.
Good luck with the statins. Hope you don't get any side effects.
