Sometimes the body is so busy fighting gluten that other problems can bubble away undetected. How have you felt since going GF - great? Or have you felt worse? Or have you discovered you have another Auto-immune health problem?

Yes I was a non-typical coeliac. I had lots of childhood illnesses, and psiorisis on my head, ezcema, tiredness etc. No obvious stomach problems. I had odd neck spasms where I had to go to casulty to be seen as they felt like I couldn't breathe. They said my trapzeium muscle was in spasm and gave me valium to release it. All very scary especially in the midst of romantic moments when it happened! My main symptom was nausea and tiredness. I thought I had a ear infection and luckily my Dr ran some bloods and hey presto after an endo I had 'gold standard' confirmed Coeliac Disease. I wish more emphasis was put upon non typical symptoms. Not all coeliacs bloat, have tum problems, dodgy poos or vomit. I have always been clumsy and unco-ordinated and suffered mild depression. I now suspect this was as a result of gluten as since going gf and trying to stabalise my nutrionalist deficiencies these have all improved - slowly but surely...!
