Pat on the back for Asda

Don’t often shop at Asda, but went yesterday to a fairly small one. The frozen free from had moved and lost its sign, so after recent posts I was pessimistic. When I found it, tho, it was slightly larger than before, no meat-but-not-wheat-free in sight, and they had my beanburgers!

They had moved the vegan section next to the free from on the ambient shelves, but it was separate - no mixed shelves - and there are a few suitable things there. I don’t mind looking on vegan shelves for safe products when I know that’s what I’m doing, I just don’t want them in my free from when they’re only free from meat!

Think I might have to go to Asda more often, to encourage them 😊

Asda does oddly get it right in a way other big retailers don't. They also have an excellent vegan section that stocks a lot of gluten free chocolate that is not in the main gluten free section, e.g. Booja Booja. The others could learn a few lessons.

Sadly, no Booja-Booja in the Asda here - too small, I guess - but Waitrose and Ocado both stock it :-). I usually alternate between the midnight espresso and the almond salted caramel - just one a day (honest!).
