Gluten free Yorkshire puddings seem to have disappeared from all Supermarkets. Does anyone know why ?

I have tried to make them myself but not much success !

Thank you Bazmack.Unfortunately our branch claims they are out of stock.Same in Tesco, Sainsbury and Morrison’s !

Hi Lottie8,

I make my own,i grew up with homemade ones and mixed them as a child for mum. When i was diagnosed celiac and had to try doing them with gluten free i soon learned it wasnt just a straight forward swap to gluten plain flour. Aftter a few failures i have got them the way i like. My 19 year old daughter prefers them to original.

My recipe.

50g cornflour

90g plain flour

3 medium eggs

milk i add till i get correct consistency.

Me too, I'm Scottish but my mum a yorkshire lass so grew up eating them . Roast dinner not the same without. There is always a little mixture left which is great for thickening your gravy. 😁😋

Swap to pure cornflour. 100g with 3 eggs. Gives better Yorkshire's than gluten does anyway :)

Agree thats the recipe I use with 150ml milk or rather I use a third of the quantity and make about 6 baby individual ones in jam tart/patty tins filed up to half way. Baked 220 fan for 20 mins.

Hi Lottie, you can ask on the website realyorks.co.uk/stockists/

It may just be that they sold out over the Christmas period and are only just getting back up to speed. I like them too.

Try this recipe itsworked really well for me.

3 medium eggs

100ml milk

65g cornflour

.Whisk together the cornflour, eggs and milk in a bowl or jug until smooth (feel free to add a little salt and pepper if you like too), leave to stand for 5-10 mins.

Using a muffin tray, add about 1/2tbsp of oil to 6 of the holes, place in an oven preheated 220C, the oil needs to be so hot that it is spitting, it will take around 10 mins to reach this temperature.

Remove the muffin tin from the oven, 3/4 fill each hole and place back in the oven, still on 220C, leave in the oven for 20 mins until browned, whatever you do don't open the oven door during this time or the Yorkshire puddings will sink.

After 20 mins, without opening the door, turn the oven down to 150C and leave for a further 5 mins to make sure the inside is cooked through.
