Has anyone had balance issues related to celiac but not ataxia?

Make sure you have copies of all results that are legally yours. Hope they tested Folate too ... A B12 result below 500 can be responsible for neurological issues so if you are just in range your GP will declare you Normal/Fine/OK. What they mean is you are in range - but it is where you are in the range that is the key to wellness 😊

I'd like a recap from your meeting 🙏.

I have balance issues. Don't know it its ataxia though. I have many issues from gluten.

My balance issue can be due to "swollen glands" (feels like the nerves have fever) or rash in ear or joint pain too that comes with a muscle weakness. Could be the extreme tiredness.

I get difficulties to walk smoothly sort of, and sometimes "fall" when standing still. But I also have difficulty hearing what people say.

I'm certain it's not due to deficiency, because the issues comes a couple of hours after ingesting a fair amount of gluten, and dissappear after a week or so.

I don't think/hope I have any deficiencies since I've consciously tried to avoid running short since at least 10 years back.

He examined me looking at how I walk, balancing on one foot, he said that I’d had mild balance issues he didn’t seem concerned about other things I’d get checked by a neurologist just to make sure you don’t have ataxia or perithal neuropathies

Yes, hopefully you'll sort it out.

I have been diagnosed by a neurologist with coeliac ataxia. Prof Marios Hadjivassiliou at Sheffield has done a lot of research on coeliac ataxia. There are YouTubes you can view.
