So 2 years ago I had a colonoscopy because I became so anemic that my DR thought I had a bleed. Fast forward to now. I go to the same clinic to see an endocrinologist for hashimotos. She looked at the biopsy and said that with these results that her patients have celiac disease. The clinic never told me. The Endo did a blood test and it was negative. So is the gold standard of diagnosis the biopsy or blood test? Villous blunting was on biopsy.

Villious blunting is the important thing here and is an indicator of coeliac disease. Blood tests often come back with a false negative.
Biopsy!
