I am not a professional but have grandkids diagnosed with celiac disease.

Ii know they cannot eat chicken cooked with a wheat bread stuffing inside the body cavity, and one has trouble if he eats some minute wheat derivatives in rice crackers!

If you have celiac disease or are allergic to wheat, I would err on side of caution! Don't use the cream liberally at first. Try a thin smear on the inside of your wrist. If it does not cause redness, rash or itching, try a similar amount again. If still good, try a larger area. Not sure I would use on your face, nose or neck!

If you don't have an allergy to wheat, you may find you are good to use it.

If in any doubt, don't use it! Can you take it back to the shop? Or pass it on!

Regards

Jen

Hi

As far as I understand, gluten molecules are too big to be absorbed by the body, you have to eat gluten for it to affect you... if you are getting some kind of reaction on your skin, it could be other ingredients in the oil.

If you are feeling worried about it, perhaps have a look for a different product?

Thanks Penel, it's a sample so will go easy and hope for the best.

You can't ingest gluten through the skin so it should be fine. Just don't lick yourself!
