I was hoping someone can help me. I have a bloating stomach which is painful and am struggling to go for a number 2, also passing wind a lot. I was wondering if anyone else has suffered this? Does this sound like Coelic disease or IBS or something else? I am having a blood test for coelic on Friday and Ultrasound again the following Friday 16th November. I don’t see the point of another ultrasound when the last one didn’t pick up anything and I am desperate. Any advice on which dept I can see and does anyone know if I can pay privately as I don’t think I can wait any longer as I’m in so much pain

Please help
Have you eliminated lactose from your diet, or gluten - keep a good diary to see if that helps ?
Thank you. I was going to wait and see what the blood test comes up with first and then eliminate gluten first as I think it might be that.
I had similar symptoms and have been helped by a low FODMAP diet and intermittent fasting. All I do for the fasting is eat dinner at 5pm and then nothing until breakfast about 730 the next day do it’s wuite easy. Studies have shown that fasting promotes the good gut bacteria that helps gut transit. The other thing I take is a magnesium supplement at bedtime. The one that works for me is Natural Vitality Magnesium Powder (tablet forms didn’t help, I don’t understand why) which helps constipation if you’re able to take it.
I've just seen a private Doctor not far away from you, that is if you're in Portsmouth. Can't report on their quality or lack of it at the moment but the Doctor was attentive at least and I was in there for an hour. Got some testing going of over the coming week or two so I'll certainly feed back if I have any luck.
Yes let me know how you get on, fingers crossed for you. If I could have the number that would be great as I’m in agony and seriously thinking of just paying private for a result, although I’m not loaded x
I'll PM you the details.
Of your coeliac test comes back clear, it could be worth you trying an elimination diet, to cut out food groups that could be causing stomach issues. I'd start with cutting out gluten, dairy and soya, at first (would suggest avoiding all 3 at the same time). If you're still poorly after a month of this, try avoiding legumes, grains, nuts (not necessarily all at the same time).
Hi Portsmouth123 your problem sounds just like mine started like. I get constipated like yourself and the bloated stomach is horrendous in my case. And passing wind started too. Your symptoms seem to be like gluten intolerant symptoms but only the doc and the blood result will let u know if it might be that. All the best..
You need to do some work on healing your gut. Probably not one particular food problem. Get some books from library and go see a dietician..not the doctor.
Take some digestive enzymes tablets with each meal. From health food store. These help to break down the food.
Also the bowel needs a lot of water to work efficiently, so drink up.
There is 3 tips that could help.
