I was wondering if you are coeliac if you are prone to other health conditions.
I have been coeliac for 15 years (but likely was diagnosed when I'd had it for some time) and recently have been diagnosed type II diabetic and now with fatty liver..
It just seems like one thing after another...

From reading posts on here over a number of years, it seems fairly common to have more than one autoimmune disorder at a time. I think fatty liver disease seems to be one of those. Bad luck on the type 2 diagnosis.
I’ve had endometriosis, but it’s not a problem any more, post menopause. I’ve had flare ups of uveitis over the years, completely random as far as I can tell. I remain lactose intolerant and have recently started on a low Fodmaps diet to try to sort out ongoing digestive problems.
There seem to be a whole range of problems that are possibly more common if you are Coeliac. It’s certainly a pain ...
Hi Wee I was diagnosed coeliac in 2012 then Crohns in 2014 and now I keep getting vertigo 😫 but hey I was lucky I was 57 ish when my symptoms started to present themselves. Try to stay positive and good luck to you xx
Secondary autoimmune diseases such as diabetes frequently goes along with Celiac disease unfortunately! We have Celiac and diabetes both in my family! It is tough that’s for sure hope your health improves though now that you have the knowledge. They say “knowledge is power “
Thank you for your replies guys - much appreciated.. I'm a bit p'd off but hey I just need to get on and try and get on top of things like a I did when diagnosed coeliac.. I keep telling my pals - I might look fit and well but am rotting from the inside out.. oh well ..
I'm following the blood sugar diet and hope to be able to keep on top of things - if not reverse them..Certainly doable (apart from the coeliac - I'm stuck with that )
