Oxymetazoline Affect on Narrow-Angle Patients

I believe the Oxymetazoline in the AFRIN decongestant caused the problem in my left eye. I found another product with this chemical and saw this included in the insert:

"UPNEEQ may increase the risk of eye pressure due to fluid buildup (angle-closure glaucoma) in patients with untreated narrow-angle glaucoma. Call your doctor immediately if you feel increased pressure in your eye after using UPNEEQ. "

I am sure doctors are not screening patients thoroughly before they prescribe this. Unfortunately AFRIN is OTC. Patients are definitely not screened before taking this.
