Hallo, does glaucoma eye drops change the colour of the iris? Has anyone experienced that?

Hi yes , since I started using Latanoprost in 2015 my right eye has become a darker colour.
The eye Clinic said that this sometimes does happen but not with everyone.
Hope that this helps.
yes, I have been using monopost for a year now in just one eye. My eyes are hazel but my affected eye is now darker and more brown, also my eyelashes are much darker, longer and thicker on that eye too. I was told this could happen when first prescribed

Hello. Prostaglandin analogues can cause a darkening of the iris due to how they can cause the iris to release more pigment, which might allow them to become darker. Prostaglandins include latanoprost, bimatoprost, travaprost and tafluprost. If you wanted to avoid this, then there are other drops that you can take instead, which your consultant might be happy to prescribe for you, such as beta blockers and carbonic anydrase inhibitors.
