Taking Prednisolone (steroid) tablets to raise my low IOP after trabeculectomy

Hi everyone, hope you're well. I'm continuing on my journey with things after sustaining an injury to eye which lead to high eye pressure, leading me to have a trabeculectomy in December.

My eye pressure has dropped too much since the surgery, at around 2 now. So the consultant has put me on Prednisolone steroid tablets to actually cause higher eye pressure. These are NOT the same as the eye drops you take post-surgery.

They sound quite tough to have to take (mood changes, weight gain, sleep disruption).

Has anyone else had to take these to deal with hypotony? What was your experience like? Did it help raise your eye pressure? Any advice.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not looking for medical advice or a second opinion, just a shared experience from one human to another. I'm aware I should talk though side effects with my doctor.
