when I was first diagnosed with glaucoma, I thought that my artistic career was maybe over. My father suffered from this and I remember accompanying him for his check-ups. Various health specialists warned me about my future vision. I had worn contact lenses from the age of 16 and in my sixties , I decided to go private for cataract surgery and a trabeculectomy. At first I was very disappointed when my vision became blurred, however, I now appreciate the fact that my glaucoma has been halted and I have perfect vision in one eye and perfectly adequate vision in the other. I am able to continue with my art-work and crafting. I am totally blessed.
