It has been two months since I had a trab op. My vision was gradually improving but it stopped the last one month ie, no improvement of vision from day 30 to day 60 after op.
Doctor seems to suspect this might be as good as it gets. He mentioned my glaucoma was advanced so in some cases, it never goes back to ante-op condition. Trauma of the op.
I am going to have next consultation in a month but, my expectation is not high. Should I resigned to myself that the blurred vision stay if there is no improvement for a month.

Hello charles555, After the trab there are balancing acts of monitoring of IOP (low or high), vision and scar tissue etc. My understanding is most of the blur vision conditions can be corrected by the glasses when everything is settled down. So please do not give up. With best wishes.
P.S. the operated eye has settled on IOP 10 or so and the op itself was a success. But the vision is blurred and definitely not the matter of worsened myopia. it is blurred and unfocused.
After my trab I had blurred vision plus bad ghosting. It started to improve slowly after 5 months. It is now 9 months after the trab. My consultant said that glasses could not correct ghosting. I now need a cataract operation on the same eye. However the ghosting is now much improved and blurring has got less as well. I think maybe that the low pressure in the operated eye may have been having some effect on this. It was 4 for some time and has now increased to 6. It is worrying but give it some more time, some take longer than others I think, there is no hard and fast rule one this.
thanks. actually, me too, was told I have developed a cataract and this maybe a factor of blurred vision. - i also have a membrane - but thanks for telling me it took you that many months.
I had the Preserflo op on my left eye 16th June. It was very blurry and it appears to have gone back to my pre op sight. Eye test still blurry but I can see the letters clearly through the pin holes. This is the eye that has severe Gluacoma. I’ve had the cataracts on this eye last year and am now booked in for laser treatment to clear the mist which hopefully will give me clear vision again. Have you had any cataract operations?
Hi Charles, don't despair yet! There are a number of things thar can cause blurred vision including dry eye and cataracts both of these were significant oroblems for me after glaucoma surgery. My glaucoma is advanced but I don't have blurred vision a y more except when I don't keep on top of my dry eye.
Yes I also forgot to mention dry eyes too. When my eyes become blurry- both of them, I use the HYLO FORTE drops which is prescribed by my consultant. This really does help to keep the eyes moisture especially in the hot weather.
Yes it’s Preservative and Phosphate Free. It provides intensive lubrication for eyes. Your Dr can prescribe it. I always carry a bottle in my hand bag when out. Never leave home with out it now.
Not yet, but I was told I do have a cataract and membrane, so these maybe a factor for blurriness. Doc told me if I have to have a cataract surgery, it will be long way off, ie not so severe.
Having the cataract surgery was just incredible afterwards. I couldn’t believe I could see again clearly and distantly too. The left eye need laser treatment which is booked for next month to clear the mist which apparently can happen some time after the op. Both eyes were quite sevear.
it’s been 6 months since my trab in left eye and 3 months in my right eye. My sight has been hazy ever since. It has improved but I notice it gets worse when around certain lights, monitors at work and even the train station screens. On cloudy days if I don’t wear sunglasses my sight goes so blurry I can’t see the reg plates of cars if I’m out for a walk.
Consultant thinks my eyes are dry or some debris from the operation that’s causing the problem. RNIB’s health team thinks it’s due to the sight loss.
