Latanoprost

Hi - I've also run out of Latanoprost and have been unable to source any at all. I am a little concerned as my eye pressure has increased a lot due to current sinus problems. Is there an alternative or equivalent that anyone has tried please? I have contacted my doc but still awaiting a reply. Many thanks.

I have also had problems getting my drops, luckily I haven’t run out yet. I contacted the eye clinic direct and they have arranged for an alternative drop which I will collect on Monday.

It might be worth you contacting your eye clinic for help.

Thank you for your suggestion. If I don’t hear back from my doctor on Monday I will try to contact the glaucoma clinic department at the hospital .

I was in the same position and was due on holiday abroad . The equivalent with the preservatives really make my eyes red and sore . The Gp wasn’t getting back to me until Thursday and I was away on the Friday . I rang round several pharmacies and managed to find on that had one box left. I’m not sure what the alternative is, but it’s worrying. They are supposed to get more stock from manufacturer soon . I hope you managed to get it sorted

Thank you for your message. When I enquired at the pharmacy they said that they were expecting stock to arrive “within the next week” - let’s hope that proves true.

It’s good that you managed to get a box - let’s hope that this shortage problem is over soon.

I have been on it for a few years and my GP has included it under their 'repeated' medications. I order every month.

I have also been on it for many years and on repeat prescriptions from my doctor - although if there is a national shortage there is nothing presently that my doctor can do for me regarding Latanoprost. It’s a waiting game.

I was able to get it at Boots on Friday after trying several pharmacies during the last week.

oh wow hope for me,,I tried my Boots yesterday and they said they hope to get some for next week! Hope everyone else manages to get them too! x

Boots got a delivery Friday and I managed to get mine then. Everything should be back to normal by next week.
