I had my other eye trab done Wednesday I’ve been sneezing a lot since I was wondering if this will cause my eye pressure to go up again I’m trying not to sneeze and only had 1 today but it’s like ah I hope it doesn’t stuff up the pressure of the eye it’s very annoying.

Hi, I can tell you from a nightmare personal experience that it is actually going to be the opposite, I blew my nose a week after and it caused 2 of the sutures come loose, after which I had a searing pain go up the side of my head, fluid leak out of the bleb and an IOP of 1 which required me to have gel injected into the eye two times and then after 3 weeks of a pressure of 1, had to have corrective surgery done because the pressure didn't come back up. Since then I found out the hard to not sneeze and to not blow your nose, so now 3 weeks after corrective surgery I fight off every sneeze by any means necessary and no nose blowing (unless a very gentle nose blow) ( for the last week I had a cold, so imagine the difficulty I faced. Sorry don't want to scare you, just wanted to warn you to be careful. Take care.

gosh that’s scary I’ve not sneezed for about 2 days now ( nearly a week post op thank god 🦈) I haven’t broken my stitches so it seems I had a mini blood on a tissue during sneezing fit but hasn’t happened since . Your experience sound just terrible. I hope ur ok now . I haven’t blown my nose I also have a cold 🙈 but keeping away from sneezing ect

Thanks, things are going alot better now thank God. I really didn't even know to be careful with those things when I left surgery, They should give out some kind of pamphlet post surgery, about do and don't and what to expect at home. Sounds like you are doing well and I wish you all the best for a good recovery.

Just to add to your replies I was told that if you really have to sneeze always do it with your mouth open so as not to put pressure on your eyes. My very best wishes to you . Geoff
