I just had 2nd trab left eye was healing quite nicely could see really well up until dr removed stitches yesterday now back to fuzzy and really really difficult doing long distances. It did this with he right eye too and the vision in that eye is nothing like it used to be post trab in fact it made long distance vision much worse than b4 op .it’s just like frustrating. I reckon when I go back Monday he will say no driving til fuzzy clears up as I can tell driving myself it’s really difficult to drive right with left eye all fuzzy and I don’t feel comfortable doing it now so I’m l back at square one again . I wonder how much more I can take : so be bussing it taxi it to take my daughter to school as it seems my family is not interested in helping much .

Hi,.Pink. I'm the same post opp the pressure is now always good and the doctor is happy with is, but I now appear to be short sighted in that eye, I can see well up close but anything at any distance is blurry. I asked about this any the surgeon said the eye can change shape because of the surgery and that this can be corrected wearing glasses if I want, my stitches are still in as well, he told me he has no plans to take them out, which is fine by me but I notice in the evening the eye aches abit and feels like something is stuck in it. When you have had your eyes tested can you see alot better with the pinholes? If so that means no permanent damage, just something that can be corrected with glasses.

yes my dr says the same thing , the pin holes on the right eye don’t really help much used to a few weeks back but not since then but if they give me I don’t know what they are called seem like glasses I can see much better with that eye thou the right eye has always been a bit harder to see distance then the left dr says right eye has a lot of optic nerve damage was left too long without the surgery and the surgery changed the shape of that eye too my other specialist was trying to control it but had little success pressure in high 20s for long time . I haven’t had left eye checked since stitches come out will have check tomorrow and hopefully will be ok even thou super blurry

I feel your pain there, I also went a long time with a high IOP and then to make matters worse I went a long time with a low IOP. Hopefully for you in the left eye may settle down after having the stitches removed or it can be corrected with glasses. Keep us posted. Take care

Yes there are so many ups and downs and stresses. That's good news though that those are the pressures, so the surgery has been a success, we have to take all the good news we get. Hopefully your vision settles down in time.

hi, denniboy

I don’t know my dr thinks 10/15 years can be longer than that with trabs I’m still in recovery phase bearly 6 weeks post op in both eyes . My drs quite confident my pressure will stay low as it’s very rare to go up after trab so my dr says . I hope it’s correct I’m very new to the trab side of things but have had limited success with drops in maintaining low pressure so I was referred onto a specialist glaucoma dr to treat / maintain the eyes . I certainly hope my Dr is right he seems to know everything about it so I feel quite safe with him and can ask him anything which is great . Hope ur doing ok with ur glaucoma 🦫
