I had LST done in both eyes yesterday. They did not check my iop after the treatment, I was given iopidine drops there and some to take home for the evening and the next morning. Is that your experience too? I'm not in too much discomfort today, but bright lights make my eyes sore, and of course there is a bright sunshine. Any advice? And if you are worried about having laser treatment, I can tell you my experience was pretty good.

SLT day after
My doctors usually check about an hour afterwards. I'm sure if your doctor had any concerns they would have made you wait around for a check. Might be worth phoning them beginning of next week and get them to check IOP to put your mind at rest
I had no extra drops to take away and, at the appointment, I had pilocarpine and the local anaesthetic drops. My eyes were a bit sensitive after the procedure but luckily it was a dull day, and also I had sunglasses. I didn’t find out my pressures until the other day (about 6 weeks after the laser).
I had my pressure checked after the procedure and found it was elevated despite the Iopidine so was given Acetazolamide there and two more to take over the next 24 hours. The pressure very slowly reduced to normal over the following week. I struggle with bright lights too but I think that’s the drops I’m on (Latanoprost, Dorzolamide and Brimonidine). My eyes were a little sore for a couple of days afterwards too. I have some very dark sunglasses for days like these. Fingers crossed for success for you.
Hi there. I have had several SLT laser treatments in the past. Totally pain-free. I wasn't given any new eye drops after but my IOP was fairly good in the first place. All I would say is that as I suffer dry eye my eyes did get very irritated for a few weeks after SLT but they recovered and the laser treatment worked in reducing the IOP. Not a massive reduction but enough. It does however take a few weeks to work so my follow ups were always 3 months. Hope this helps.
I can't remember experiencing that but I know through other problems since then that the vision in my trouble eye changes regularly. I wouldn't ever recognise it normally but when something happens I tend to be more "aware" of that eye and start checking the vision in that eye which I would never normally do. Just a thought.
I definitely do way too much checking!
So do I! Its hard to switch off when you're worried. I'm going through it atm with rollercoaster IOPs. If you think how even normal vision can change when you're stressed or tired. I'm sure all be be fine for you. Try not to keeping checking.
Hi, Sounds strange, the normal procedure is to wait for about an hour then go back in to have the IOP check. They have no way of telling without doing this, so it sounds like an error here, but chances are you are fine and I hope the treatment works out well for you.
My Dr wouldn't do both eyes together had 2 weeks in between each eye and no pressure check till the 2 weeks..haven't seen a huge drop in pressure.on Azarga am. Pm..latanoprost pm..
