Needling required

I finally had a checkup this week, was supposed to be in March but, reasons.

I was very anxious as I react badly to anaesthetic and fluorescein and was ready for confrontation, but they were happy to use an icare device to take my pressures. No drugs administered. As an aside, I have had consultants take my pressures using the standard Goldman device and no drops, but I'm finding those who are confident to do that are few and far between.

Unfortunately, what had been a stable 18 in my left eye had jumped to 23. I'm going to need another trab needling.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it works. I had a needling in 2019 and a day later the chemo drugs leaked out and melted off the front of my cornea. It took several weeks for me to regain my vision. Maybe that prevented the needling from working as well as it should have?

Anyhow, just thought I'd share. I've been told to expect a 2 month wait for the procedure.
