Disc cupping

What does corneal thickness of 578 microns in the right eye men and 562 microns in the left. Also what does vertical ratios of disc cupping mean of 0.75 in the right and 0.8 in the left mean. Scared

Hi Julie the disc cupping I have no idea about but as for cornea thickness , normal is classified as 540 to 560, with anything over 565 classified as thick. Consultant told me the issue with a thick cornea is it gives an inaccurately higher reading when they are checking eye pressure. I think with thinner corneas it's the opposite , pressures appear lower than they actually are. Therefore your eye pressures probably aren't as high as they appear to be. X

Thank goodness for that, a big relief for you , I'm glad you are feeling a bit better now you know it's actually positive.

I'm good thank you , the eye I had surgery on looks pretty much the same as other now which is great. I thought I was going to have a drooping eyelid forever but I'm not hurrah.
