Hi,to everyone who replied to my first post,I had my trab surgery yesterday with local anaesthetic, bit nerve-racking but got through it and wasn't as bad as I thought, went back for check up today,my pressure is down to 10,got weekly appts for the next 4 weeks, thanks for everyone's encouraging replies, not sure I would have gone through with it otherwise, and so far so good.

Thank you.

Hi Chris, that’s great news. I had my left eye done approx 3 years ago up in Sunderland. Like you I saw an immediate improvement and things have held steady since. I was a bit paranoid post op re cleanliness, not overdoing things, worrying about failure etc but whilst you’ve got to be sensible I think it’s a lot more robust surgery than I thought - in other words try not to worry too much now. Wishing you a good recovery.

Thank you,I've been the same, day after didn't even dare use an electric toothbrush incase the vibrations did some damage, and didn't wash my hair for a week incase I got water in eye,🤨,bit more relaxed now,so I know what you mean🙂

Lol, I don’t remember worrying too much re the toothbrush but I got very used to showering with my eyes closed. I started to feel more confident when at my check ups I realised my surgeon was being far more “rough” than I’d ever dreamed of. He also took the view that he’d done the surgery so I could do normal things (like swimming) so eventually gave me the go ahead for that too. The early days are strange but get better.
