Hello - new to this board & community but wanted to check in with others out there with diagnosed ABPA. I was diagnosed years ago, my doctor recommended surgery but I freaked out and didn't go back for a couple of years. Then covid hit, and I'm in NYC so I've been hiding (I also have asthma and never want to go to the ICU again if I can help it). I recently got the vaccine (pfizer/biontech) and after the first shot I started coughing up a lot of phelgm. Just got the 2nd shot on Monday and have since been coughing up phelgm and those gross aspergillus chunks (that taste and smell weird and feel different). I'm planning to go in to the dr. soon but was curious if anyone else had similar experiences.

Your experience is consistent with a patient with allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), you really need to see your doctor to get it treated as it needs to be managed in order that you retain lung function.
