HI Everyone,

Two weeks ago hubby went to have his fit to fly test.... Which showed that he can fly without oxygen so that was indeed some good news. During the test and the talk with the pretty, blonde young technician she mentioned had he considered going on the anti candida diet to see if it helped the aspergillosis, the athletes foot and fungal in his nails.... Well have I not been on about this for the last six months since the blood test came back showing candida ... Amazing when a younger blonder women tells him about it it turns out to be the best thing to do and hubby is now following this diet to the T. Amazed and his willpower to give up a lot of the food he has lived on all his life, he has a very sweet tooth and has gone cold turkey on bread, sugar, fruit, and diary ....it's been a learning curve in the cookery department ...and looking at labels of food so Many foods have sugar in. I am wondering if it's a result of this strict diet that his cough has got worse - if that was possible and the mucus production . I am thinking this is a good thing and it's getting rid of the fungus ... But what do I know my head aches with trying to help and get to the bottom of the constant coughing that exhausts him and causes such fatigue and concern for us both.

We still wait the results of the MRI before dawn on his throat area where the polyp is.

Have gp Monday to discuss change of statins and his swollen ankles which have greatly improved. Also next week have appointment at the respiratory dept of the hospital....and on it goes....

Have youngest child's christening this weekend so an uplift to the week.

Take care everyone

Marion

My husband is the same he loves the Kentish cherries which are just gorgeous this year - God knows where he is getting his will power from!

My yoga teacher followed this anti candida diet for six weeks and the results from her blood test after the six weeks showed the candida greatly reduced.

I think some doctors don't believe in it but frankly they have come up with no answers in the last year so I think and my hubby does nothing ventured nothing gained.

Google it and have a read up.

And good luck.

The worry we have with strictly limited diets is that a) as yet there is little proof they make any difference and b) you can end up with nutritional deficiencies that make matters worse!

If you follow one try to only do so after a consultation with a dietitian to ensure you are getting all the important food groups - fresh fruits and vegetables are very important for your immune system to work properly.
