Unfortunately dad has taken a turn for the worse. He's been in the hospital since Friday and his health has declined massively. He's responsive at times but very confused. His breathing is heavy and his platlets are very low. His doctor will not continue his treatments as he could not withstand them in his condition. He's on pain meds and is very comfortable and will most likely pass at the hospital soon.
I am so heartbroken. He is my best friend and the best dad in the world. He's the strongest person I know. Please pray for him.

From an outsiders view (one who has been a caregiver to a parent with lung cancer and now fighting it herself), your dad knows that he was loved and respected. This is a gift not to be taken lightly. You've been a great advocate for your dad. He's a lucky man to have had you for a daughter.

Lisa, you are giving the greatest gift of all - love. Bless you for your generosity, some people cannot give that gift, but you have showered your father with it during your loving relationship. You and your father shared a deep love for a long time, that is simply as good as it gets on Earth.

So very, very sorry, Lisa. Losing a parent ifs one of the worse things we have to go through. Glad your Dad is comfortable. All you can do now is keep telling him how much he has meant to you. God bless you and your Dad prayers and hugs for you both.
Donna I hope we can help her,be there for her. But one of the worst things you can go through one of the worst things you.are your parents. I lost my son and so did you that's the worst thing you can go through. I wish I could help her it needs a village to help.
