About 6 months ago, I noticed slight numbness, tingling and mild pain on the balls of my feet and the area on the top of my feet from my toes going back about 3 inches. I do not have diabetes. I plan to go to my MD very soon. Has anyone had this type of condition? Is this a very serious situation? What treatment options do you recommend?

It does sound like peripheral neuropathy. Hopefully you and your doctors will be able to find a cause. In my case symptoms are very similar, but no cause has been found, and I just have to live with it. Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
I have this..and over a yrs time its spread from my feet to my head. Still trying to find a reason but have been diagnosed with peripheral nueropathy. They gave me pills and tested for everything under the sun. So far allxtests are normal. Make an appt fast as neurologist are very hard to get into. Usually 3 toc6 month wait for scheduling. Please update if possible and good luck!
