welcome to the group. Yes we know its there, even on the days when we feel a bit ok and go out and people say "you don't look ill". I still feel like I am making it up sometimes which doesn't help. Its a bit like being gay, we need to be "out and proud". One of my sons doesn't really accept it yet and i have been ill for about 4 years. I find even people who have had ME can be very lacking in understanding. Maybe its because they were in denial for a long time and haven't woken up to the slightly better recognition that is given now.
Hi there,I've just joined here also. Its a shame that its so bloody invisible to everyone!Wish people could actually see how much we suffer with pain, fatigue and all the other nasty symptoms.Iam so fed up of people saying (including my family)that I look well.Sometimes I don't even wash, brush my hair and teeth as I feel so aweful, wish they could see me then! I have just joined here today.I feel I struggle through most days.My partner and family think I moan a lot for nothing much.I just wish they could feel what I feel just for an hour, never mind days at time.they also think its my weight that causes everything,I am probably 2-3 stone overweight,I know.It is all very difficult.
