New environments can be challenging so prepare ahead

Hi

This was something a member posted on another site and how she envisaged the difficulties she may experience and had her "tools" sensory aids packed ready, think it was a mini break from recollection.

Throughout the years our lives change and with FND it can be a little more challenging.

My son has just started 6th form and although currently fine, I am already thinking about how he will cope in the free study periods at school as they may be noisy (more students).

1) Get him permission to have his phone and headphones with music or noise cancelling headphones (but he may feel conscious of these).

2) If there are no lessons afterwards ask school if he can be given permission to leave and study at home.

I am also trying to arrange his timetable around our daily lives, so its seamless as much as possible.
