Hi I’m 24 years old, I live in the USA. I was recently diagnosed with PNES and I’m having symptoms of FND. I remember having my first seizure at 17 years old and it was brushed off because I have an anxiety disorder and treatment resistant depression. Recently I was intubated and sent to an out of state hospital because I was having constant seizures in a cluster and I couldn’t stop. My seizures make my body completely tense up and cause my leg muscles to shake. I also pass out or dissociate most times. I’ve found some triggers but sometimes I wake up and I know I’m going to have one at some point based off my emotions and my brain function. My legs buckle on me and I lose the ability to be able to take steps. I push through it as much as I can being that I live alone. I’ve seen doctors and I’m seeing a therapist but I just feel very unheard and hopeless. I feel like no one understands and all they tell me is “you just have to be strong and work through it”. But how when I feel completely out of control of my body? I can’t speak correctly at times, walk, or think. I’m not one to reach out on social platforms but I’m desperate for help.

Whilst I can't identify with your symptoms myself , I found the following in another post about symptoms similar to yours.

'I have managed my seizures with the keto diet and THC/cbd oil and I have 95% less seizures than I had in 2017.

I hope this may be of some help but as you know, FND symptoms and solutions vary so much between individuals. It's all DIY, and 'suck it and see'. Best wishes.

I also use THC and it does help calm my nerves. It is definitely all DIY and pretty much just figure out what works for you. Thank you for the reply, makes me feel less bad for using THC to manage my symptoms.
