Idk about you guys, but there are 2 main things that I hate hearing from medical professionals:
1) You're faking
2) Congratulations! Your tests came back normal. You're fine
Anyone else relate? Am I missing a big one?

Hi Python42,
If you've been diagnosed on the basis of normal test results alone, I would question the dx since they are meant to provide more information than that and give you a rationale for the dx. If anyone has told you that you are faking the symptoms, I would certainly ask for a second opinion and report the doctor who said that to their superiors/any appropriate governing bodies.
Yeah those are two very common comments I hear often ..
I was at the a@e yesterday with breathing issues having had a crash in my wheelchair, I went into a very deep pot hole on the pavement that I didn’t see and had to get assistance to get out in short. The pain arrived on day two as I expected it would and spent some considerable time trying to find a doctor who I could have a medical conversation about pain management with because I didn’t see it as a hospital issue, no luck so it became a hospital issue with an ambulance. Jump the story on to the relevant bit for this conversation and I was told that I didn’t have a stroke from a bleed on the brain, as opposed to a clot and I was told that I don’t have the three cavernoma that are monitored by scan every few years. So my response was that I had spent five days in the stroke ward with the full care package and did really well with the therapies etc and I attend a cavernoma clinic run by a neurosurgeon blah blah who did look into surgery for the cavernoma that had caused a significant bleed and that I had met my new neurologist. So I am now going to have to check my medical records to make sure these things are acurately recorded if what he was saying was true because this is quite concerning to have gone through all of this and the hospital not have a record of it. This then became oh maybe it is there and I didn’t see it. I am in shock at the size of these lies and how serious it could become as in can a doctor delete your medical records if it doesn’t suit him for them to exist!…..scary stuff. I have been weepy for a couple of days now while I process this whole insane situation and cope with the pains and aches now coming out after the accident. I have swelling and tenderness in my abdomen were the lap belt went and pain in my ribs were the arm rests are on the chair and I don’t feel safe reaching out for medical assistance to get this checked out so I am in bed with pain meds and hoping for the best
