Have any of you heard of Medical Medium?

I coincidentally came across him a couple months before I got sick. Never imagined I’d require healing, but here I am.

A huge amount of people have reported relief from various mystery/chronic illnesses and I’ve noticed he also has a lot of information on neurological issues and how to heal them naturally. Usually I’d be quick to doubt this, but I am truly at a point in my life where I’m willing to try anything.

I’m aware that FND doesn’t involve disease of the nervous system or brain, but I’m curious to find out if using the MM protocol has any effect on the symptoms I experience. I’m also on a mission to make sure that this never becomes worse, as I’ve read so many stories here of people who have had terrible episodes that have left them unable to function in many ways.

I started celery juicing over a week ago and noticed that I’m having less abdominal pain and digestion issues, so I’m going to stick with it and also take things a bit further and give my lifestyle/diet a big overhaul. I’m already vegan (blood-work came back great, no deficiencies, b12 looking good too) but cutting out all processed foods, sugars (except natural sugars from fruit), chemicals etc is my plan now.

Apparently it can take around 2 years of applying his knowledge to heal from neurological symptoms.

I would rather do everything I possibly can and find out none of it has worked or benefitted me in the slightest than continue the way I am now and hoping that the doctors suddenly change their attitudes or magic up some special pill that fixes this.

Any thoughts? Anybody who has tried the MM protocol?

I haven't tried it but I have seen him on a new doc on Netflix called Heal. Have you seen it? Bit weird in places but some interesting cases. I admire anyone who can eat clean/overhaul their diet. I am not a particularly bad eater, just a bit of a lazy one. I also dont have much of an apetite.

You are right about taking control and not waiting for a magic cure. One of the biggest factors in wellness is autonomy and that is something we really dont have when we look to the medical community for all the answers.

I just watched it, thanks so much for the recommendation! I felt very positive after watching it and it aligns with a lot of my beliefs anyway, particularly regarding the mind body connection. I liked that it was left a bit open ended, like we didn’t see everyone suddenly better and cured overnight as that’s unrealistic. It was made clear that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. From all the research I’ve been doing it sounds like a lot of time has to be dedicated to healing in a more natural way too - Medical Medium says for anything neurological you’re looking at around 2 years, at least. But I’m willing to put in the work just in case I really do benefit. I’d also love to be able to come back here and tell people with similar health issues that I’ve found something that has made a difference which may help them too. That really is the goal I think. Also trying to look at my sudden health issues in a new light - instead of “why did this happen to me”, & “this has ruined my life” I’m trying to think more positively and instead thinking “this has happened to me in order to challenge me and I can get through it” & “this will change my life for the better in the long run” Hopefully that makes sense. Trying to tame the mind a little bit. Much love.

You are going in the right direction with your new diet plan and juicing. Also start taking a good probiotic and an enzyme every day. Dont get on too many vitamins every day. Use vitamins as medicine when needed. Like magnesium for restless leg and for constipation when needed. Then add more of those foods to your diet. Try to get your vitamins in your food by variety. I personally believe a little meat is good for you.

Also get things like your thyroid checked. It can throw alot of your system out of balance when not working right. Make sure your thyroid antibodies are also checked, TPO and TG.

Thanks for all the info and advice! My thyroid has been checked and came back fine, same with all my blood tests - the doctors were really impressed with those, which, while I felt proud because they’d previously undermined the health benefits of a vegan diet, I also was a bit sad because a deficiency can be much easier to fix! I was already 80% plant based/whole foods, but have cut out that 20% vegan junk food (including soy products and mock meats) which feels good. If it doesn’t cure me I feel that I’ll benefit in many other ways. Thank you again! Hope you’re well.

In most thyroid test, they don’t normally do a blood test for the antibodies (TPO and TG) against thyroid. Make sure those were checked.

P.S. will definitely check about the antibodies next time I see my doctor, thanks for mentioning that! Still struggling to feel convinced that I don’t have a bacterial infection of some sort but no doctors I’ve seen have even brought that possibility up, just FND. We’ll see!

Lots of people with “FND” are misdiagnosed. Don’t wait to see your doctor, make an appointment to get checked. Since you’ve already talked about thyroid, maybe he’ll call in a blood test order for you. Make sure it’s for both. Many doctors only check TPO and not TG,
