So I loosely go diagnosed with FND by the ER resident neurologist after still recovering from a TBI in July 2023 due to legs shaking hand tremors and I’m sure other symptoms that I wouldn’t know. My question is do the symptoms go from good to bad? I have spent months with leg tremors and issues walking then it just started getting better after being prescribed anti depressants and unfortunately I have had ups and downs with the TBI before the FND symptoms even started so I’m honestly scared that this is just a high and everything will come crashing down again. I go to the neurologist this coming week to get a real diagnosis but now my legs are mostly better so I’m scared they will be fine at the appointment then something will trigger them to go again. Please help.

My son had leg spasms, seizures, numbness, headaches, dizziness etc. The Neuro Psych thinks he is on the Autistic Spectrum as not uncommon in FND. Its suspected anxiety but not consciously on the surface (a surpressed emotion).
If everything is going well don't look back, look forward and try and keep your anxiety levels down, practice mindfulness and be kind to yourself.
A lot of symptoms are due to the brain just taking control and protecting itself. So if you keep reinforcing that everything is going to be okay and then your brain will hopefully catch up. You mentioned TBI, so its been through a lot.
