Has anyone that has FND noticed that the anaesthetic doesn't work as good when they go to the dentist. I have had 2 teeth out and a couple of fillings and in all occasions I had problems trying to get my mouth to go numb I never had any problems with this before I had FND. Greenbeans

Hi yes, it's all to do with the brain and nerve feedback being confused with FND.
But I also got told from a good General Anaesthetist that some drugs are naturally less effective on certain people, so it might be that your Dentist is using some other anaesthetic to what you had previously, or missed the correct nerve to inject - it happens more often than you think, teeth are not nerved independently they share similar nerve roots.
Sorry read this after replying to your facial tic post: I would definitely place your current problems to do with the Trigeminal Nerve being irritated during dental work, if it does not settle down within 3 months then see your GP for a referral to a Specialist.
