Hi everyone :I've suffered, or been diagnosed with FND (eventually) for 10 years, that is after the fibromyalgia, migraine, and multiple chronic syndrome.. Recently been suffering with something new for me.. constant bad numbness, tingling in lips, whole left side of face into left eye with twitching and often blurring vision in left eye. Doctor wrote to neurologist but due to waiting lists, they just said to keep and eye on it. Does anyone else have this as one of their many symptoms? Thank you.

Facial numbness and blurred vision
Have you investigated trigeminal neuralgia?
No I've not actually, thanks will have a look..
I had similar symptoms about a year ago, 6 months after fnd diagnosis, when anxiety about the situation was kicking in . The eye irritation (too dry )led to an eye infection, and at the same time , shingles over the same eye. The left side of my face became contorted ...but the upside is , that with daily lubrication of the eye, over a few weeks the eye problem resolved itself, and I now only occasionally get tingles and twitches on the left side of my face. The limbs of the right side of the body are now more affected by the fnd, especially the rib cage, by jerks and twitching, but only occasionally the face. This condition , in my experience never stays still!
Yes luv I suffer extreme numbness and tingling on my left side its been happening nii for 4 yrs. It's all part of the fnd disorder and yes it's draining xx keep your spirits up x
Hi Lucy here - this is an interesting post to read thank you. Hope you are on a better day?
Yes this resonates with me. I usually get tingling numbers on the right side of my lips, spreads over the right side of my face when I’ve overdone it !
My mobility … muscle cramps/ stiffness and my left limp is my main FND thing, but this tingling, numbness is horrid, it comes for days sometimes or just a few hours, then goes away ( each time I’m so pleased it goes, but I really should look into it further really!)
Take care and let’s try keep our spirits up …I know it can be tricky on tough days. Lucy.
Just saw your post, I've had fnd 5yrs, but when I read people's comments, maybe longer undiagnosed. I have numbness on left, leg more than arm, neurosurgeon couldn't find a reason for it. Neurologist thought it was from neck, he noticed slight constriction of spinal cord. Neurosurgeon was more interested in my lower back, I told them to leave it alone, I've struggled with back problems most of my life, but through pain management clinics have learnt how to handle it. My eye feels numb for a while, got it checked out, they couldn't see a reason. Hope you get it sorted. It's terrible the twists that are put down to disorder without investigation. Take care. Moni
