Hi all, after 10 yrs am still getting really bad head pain upon standing up, like a metal band around the head which is being tightened, just try to work through it, but wondered if any one had similar???

So am going to tag onto the end of this that I have adopted a tiny poodle from Battersea dogs home, she is givingme so much luv, and I have so much luv to give her, It has not made FND go away but makes it a little better to have my furbaby to look after!

Hearing from you all means so much to me. XXXXXX

Hi sweetie,Does yourhead pain last for long?

Mine stays with me for 15 mins or so, but is worse when I have been sitting down for a long time, have been all through it with my doc, maybe upon rising blood pressure etc, but she has checked it all and all is fine, leaves me feeling like a fool!

Your cat sounds cool, mine used to do the same thing.

Do agree that if you can laugh then it makes it 10 times better, I know its not a laughing subject, but my husband has had to pull me out of several hedges that I have fallen into due to balance issue, and nearlly wet ourselves laughing.

But laughing is the best medicine.

Thank you for your reply, I feel that I am not alone,

Much luv to you and yoursxx

Hi Cocoferraro,Have you had your blood pressure checked and/or been assessed for migraine? Orthostatic intolerance might be contributing to you getting head pain (your description is excellent) when you stand up. I would ask your doctor about this and also ask for a referral to a migraine specialist, if you haven't already had one.

Having a pet is a really good step forwards, in my not remotely humble blah blah blah :)
