Anyone experiencing incontinence problems with FND

Hi all, pretty new to this just a question for anyone who can help, is anyone who had FND experiencing incontinence on a night? have a weak bladder through the day??

Yep I can have urgency hesitancy frequency ongoing urine infection problems incontinence problems at times at night especially but it has happened in the day as well if I can’t get to the toilet in time. Under a urologist at the moment and awaiting a further appointment to discuss things and results of a flexi cystoscopy recently performed. There has been mentioned a condition called interstitial cystitis this isn’t confirmed as yet. You can refer yourself to the bladder and bowel service if your in the u k or ask your g.p. to send you to see a urologist.

Hi jofisherI'm under a urologist hun had a us bladder scan a cystoscopy and I've been on a tablet nearly 6 weeks the odd night I'm ok but the other its horrible I used to suffer Really bad with utis and now I just sleep thru on a night n wake u incont but ive been told it can be linked to FND. They've mentioned it cud be diabetes insipidus too. I'm thinking it's linked to FND because nothing is helping

Bless you it’s horrible isn’t it I’ve had two bad nights again with a horrible discomfort in my stomach I take paid relief and the only way I can sleep is to lay on my side and put a pillow lengthwise and rest my tummy on it which puts some pressure on it and for some reason it can ease the pain and I eventually fall asleep. It’s so difficult to know what to do to help yourself

See I don't suffer with bad UTIs anymore I used to have bad ones I used to put the hot water bottle between my legs and lay on my side. Only way ot would take relief away now k dknt have non of that just incontinence of urine. It is I didn't evan know how bad FND was until I went on the site I got given. There's so many health issues hole u have a better night tonite K x

Glad you are getting help with urology maybe ask about Botox injections into the bladder if that’s ok for your issue This is usually done of meds tried don’t help

I have a neuropathic bladder post RTA in 1994 gone from flaccid to rigid after many years with severe bladder spasms

Hope they can help whatever the cause of the issue it needs treating

Hi I have FND and I have double incontinence, I'm awaiting tests to be done to see whether this is connected, tho I've been told that this is unlikely to be connected to FND. Unfortunately everything is a waiting game to get tested these days x

Hi rainbowali well I had tests there now trying me on tablets im under urology too but nothing is working as yet. It sure is I agree x

Hi, just have much more bladder problems,but have found that it makes my Colitis worse, and am sometimes up all night in the dark and the same hours with tummypain.

I think FND can affect the bladder and definately the bowel in a lot of ways,

HiI get this intermittently which fits with FND don’t realise I need the loo then really urgent! But mine has come and gone.. when it first started I woke up weeing a few times.

I don’t know why mines stopped, I’m good at night now.
