I wonder if FND hasn't been included because it only seems to have been classified as a core psychiatric disorder fairly recently (see Perez et al)? Let's hope the genomic era of medicine can help unlock FND in the future, especially given how common it is thought to be.
I've also been reading about various forms of genetic ataxia, which share very similar symptoms to those that are often described as being part of FND/FMD. Unsurprisingly the diagnostic odysseys for people with ataxia, including children, are often made more complicated by a 'functional' diagnosis.
