Anyone get approved Disability in the U.S.?

I have been in bad shape unable to work since 2014 when I filed for Social Security Disability. Although I was recommended by the Feds own experts to be approved the Judge denied my claim (final Appeals Hearing). The State has now disapproved me as well. I can appeal the States decision and maybe even reopen the Social Security Claim but it would probably be pointless unless I can find out what the magic is to being approved. Mayo Clinic diagnosed me with FND in Dec 2019, previously I had been Dx by one Neuro with MS in 2014: which was challenged by two other Neuro's, leaving me in limbo for 4 years. Now that I have a Dx I thought there is no way they could deny my claim but now they have......Can anyone offer any advice?? I live in Arizona.

i strongly suggest you get an attorney who specializes in social security disability in your area ... they will advise you as to the likelihood of you being approved ... all offer a free consult ... just google ss disability attorney for your area

Thank you Christoper for your advice. I have a SS attorney handling my case. The problem as I see it is that they are not familiar with FND and the Feds/State is not familiar with FND. Therefore he needs to know how to write up my case in such a way that it makes it clear that I qualify even if I dont' have the traditional condition Dx such as MS, Parkinsons, etc..

My question is more for those that with FND that have been approved, what terminology or evidence did you provide? I am in Arizona.

i have dystonia ... you really need exhaustive doctor notes, medical files, and recommendations ideally worded in line with SS requirements ... a good attorney will know how to word things ... SS looks for any reason to deny you ... they don't really look for reasons to accept you ... have you had a hearing yet in front of an administrative law judge ? best of luck
