FND

[Notecards]

I got sick in Sept. and was diagnosed in Nov. with FND. I am currently in therapy-PT,OT and speech therapy. Has anyone else had a speech component to FND?

Hi. Speech issues is one of my major issues with fnd. I have an app on my phone that helps me to communicate. Works well.

That’s really good to know. What is the app called? I hope you are improving. I’m from Chicago. Where do you live?

I am in Canada. The app is called Speech Assistant. It costs about $10 total. Unfortunately, I am getting worse, but then not getting any help from specialist s. Physio is good, I found that chiropractic has helped the most. It doesn't seem to last long. But from what I understand there is damage to my brain stem. Of course nothing that doctors ever made note of. Anyway, try the app it works great and you can program in phrases!

hi! i have that app 😁! in case it helps you, i also have a microphone headset with a little portable amplifier (which I joke makes me look like an aerobics instructor!) that I bought on amazon for £20. x
