Blackouts. Does everyone here have them?

I don’t have blackouts or seizures and from reading various posts on this site, I count myself as very blessed. My symptoms are all nerve related in the sense of having burning and numbness (this is not peripheral). My inability to walk is due to the pain I get when placing my foot to the floor. The lightning pain that sears through is excruciating so I can’t walk. I have functional dystonia. I have multiple symptoms that I won’t list here with but I don’t have seizures or blackouts.

Do the seizures come next?

Or did they come at the beginning?

While I’m at it, is there anyone else here who is extremely sensitive to side effects in meds?

For example I can’t take Amitryptaline (total body numbness), Duloxetine (projectile vomiting) or Gabapentin (inability to swallow and severe stomach cramp) because of the side effects but I also get side effects with every drug including paracetamol (sleepiness). My current meds are painkillers and Diazapam (which knock me out so I don’t take them often) I am too afraid to take Pregabalin. Whenever I have meds prescribed my wife reads the side effects, as I don’t want to know unless I start having side effects.

Sorry I sidetracked myself there, I do have difficulty finding words at a lot of times and often find the wrong one which can be confusing.

I am hoping to not have seizures

Hi, my non epileptic seizures were my first symptom, like you any medication, the side effects were horrendous but my dr at the time said it was impossible to have side effects so quickly or at all. Luckily for me I had a health advocate at the time and her advice was to speak with the chemist and explain how I’ll I had become as a chemist understands the drugs more then a dr. The chemist advice was too stop the drugs ex gabapentin, lyrica instead of doubling them as the dr wanted as she explained if I was ill on one tablet why on Earth would doubling them improve anything. The chemist concluded I was very sensitive to medication.

Thank you for your response it has helped ease worry.

I can only take some drugs now. I am sensitive to alcohol and caffeine as well so I discovered it isn’t just side effects. I wonder how many people suffer from this aspect.
