Does a rectal prolapse have anything to do with fnd. One of the causes was damaged nerves.

Hi there - bit of a late reply, only just seen this. Hope you’re well.

I’m not sure whether I have a rectal prolapse, but I do still have a few issues in that general area! I had vaginal prolapse surgery several years ago. The prolapse came about a week or so after I gave birth to my first child. The doctor or physio always insisted it was due to a poor pelvic floor, yet mine were never very weak, something that always surprised them when they examined me. I think it was possibly damage from the birth combined with hormones, and also maybe problems related to having an epidural which (without going into the full story) ended up being a full lower body block. But then what do I know?? I think problems fluctuate due to hormonal changes throughout the month.

I’m have experienced in the past year, twice, proctalgia fugax. Short-lived but agony. The first time when I put the weirdness I was feeling into google I couldn’t believe it came up with exactly what I’d described in such an odd way, immediately. There are various causes one of which can be having a prolapse as well, but also ms. But then I think it’s idiopathic and anyone can experience it, so...
