Sensory sensitivity. Check it out. Elaine Aron talks about it. Your biologically more receptive and more emotional than other people - like brain is more alert. I’m asking because I identify myself as that and I feel like there’s connection to my FND with that. So I was curious other people with FND have this too?

Even.with hypersentivity

Live day day good day grey day

Can trigger, more now. I tend wear glasses but odd dummies in winter when I need them. And I've got injection and medication to help and very great full for all support

Go nurologist physio, just knowing they there for you.

Gp positive about learning more about FND disorder, which I found this really positive and I was really great full

But I would like to say,

Even FND I can honestly say, thank God it not made me different, person in nature, or personality.

Truth is link sent, stuck in meaning to actually answer questions. if be honest but got there.

I think I got it from a car accident I had. It’s not that bad compared to other accidents except I felt like I was going to die, which was considered as an extreme emotion by other people. I know I’m more alert than others. I can’t drink coffee I get too stimulated, I feel so guilty of other people, and I’m always told I take things too personally and well of course that’s why I identify with the hypersensitivity personality thing. Anyways, after 6 months I got my FND. I don’t think I was able to handle the incident even though I came out without a scratch. And since it’s said to be a biological thing for survival I think I may have over stimulated that reaction in the car accident thus got FND. I’m not sure if what I’m thinking is even logical, but at least it makes more sense why things bother me more and why I feel even more sensitive with this condition. And I feel it’s a better way of going about it to help me than how some doctors have treated me. That’s why I wanted to ask everyone if they think there is a connection. And I scored really high to answer your question as well.

If you don't mind my opions hypersentivity usually from ASD which autism

Your sensory and score high on test

So why not find out if have any processing disorders.

That make you overly react to simple triggers

And an anxiety

Just my opinion as high sences through words, I read.

And passed qualification autism challenging behaviour before FND hit me.

Xxx you seem very intelligent aswell I bet you see thing differently slight thing can you absorb visual and spot imperfections very easierly

What was like as child, hyper over stimulated bored easierly distract

Need to ask questions knowledge. Do mic well other children.

Any traits of

Fixtation obsessiveness behaviours OCD

linkings ect ...

Fascination certain topic that it becomes an obsession.

Did ever struggle depression young age or anxiety

XXX

As trying to help, the hypersentivity could be linked if coming from undignosed processing disorders

Xxx

I do get bored easily. My attention span is on the weaker side apparently but not as bad as for ADD or relevant things I have been told through a test. And I do get a lot of anxiety, which I have been working on. And I think too much and catch things quickly. I have often be complimented for being observant. I hate being watched. Sometimes when I’m one the phone I have a heard time hearing when when there’s noise around and it doesn’t even have to be that loud. My ears also hurt when I’m near loud music or something. Things like that etc.

For sure I wanted to say when I didn’t like something I stayed away and avoided things too.

Oh and sometimes I like doing things in a fixed order. Especially when it comes to education. Bothers me when realistically should do another task over the other.

in reply to shali_queen

Hi what test have you had find to check for the possible related hypersentivity linking to undignosed ADHD ADD or ASD

I’ve seen a neuropsychologist. He did several. I’d have to check again but it included something with attention span and divided attention. I have to check my report although I don’t know where I put it at this moment. But I could still go see and get a second opinion though.

Yes but I wasn't always like this. I've worked in full on jobs all over the world and with very complex and challenging client groups but over the years, various work burn outs, frontline jobs, stress and just living has shot my nervous system to bits. I now struggle with certain noises, aggression, bright lights, strong smells, stress and now these physical neurological symptoms. I think living near nature would be the answer, my body and soul craves it.

Maybe the higher sensitivity affects you more than other people would. I don’t know I just think that the higher sensitivity kind of connects with FND. Just my speculation. Don’t know what you think on the matter.

I agree. In my case, I'm not sure what is the chicken or the egg if you know what I mean. I also have hormonal stuff going on which is also linked. I don't even know where to start with that one. Haha.

I was thinking that I think it makes you more susceptible to FND because your nervous system is naturally very active.

I don’t know if you agree with me. But for me, I truly do feel like that’s what happened
