Hi, I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with FND and my symptoms are primarily weakness in the left side of my body particularly legs also experience tingling sensations on right and left side of body. My neurologist advised joining a gym to strengthen my muscles which I have done and am also waiting for an appointment to see a physio. She has told me that I will make a full recovery however I have not found much evidence on line of this albeit my symptoms are not as severe as some. . . Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I feel it is a case of get up and get on with it and see what happens !!
Thanks

If that's what you feel, then that's what you should do! You don't say how long you've had your symptoms. These things do sometimes come and go. I had a period of tingling in my arms which turned to an almost complete loss of feeling every single night for weeks. I would wake up just before complete 'paralysis', restored the limb back to life. It would happen again as soon as I started falling asleep and it went on and on. I eventually mentioned it to a gp who said it's nothing to worry about.
Yes, similar story to so many other people's, including a very close family member of mine. Don't panic, stay positive, the sun will come out in the end 🍀.
