Flushing???

Do any of you guys experience extreme flushing

I have pale white skin with red undertones. I am naturally prone to flushing, which is made all the more obvious because of my pale skin. But the flushing I am referencing is not the usual "nervous/angry/embarrassed flush", though i do have that as well. Its covering my whole face, ears, neck, and arms. But never on my trunk or legs.

It gets so bad sometimes, people ask me if I've been out in the sun and/or tell me I need more sunscreen because I'm getting "sunburned". It is difficult for people to believe me when I say "this is just my color.". I've even had a doctor say it was rosacea, even though I have NO other symptoms of rosacea and my skin did NOT clear when I used the cream he gave me.

I was tested for Lupus 8 years ago when all my symptoms started up, but I'm wondering if I should be tested again or if it's just another irritating symptom of FND. Thoughts?

Two years ago....maybe you still come here but hopefully you’re better.

Anyhow, I’ve recently been diagnosed with FND. One of my symptoms is chronic constant burning over most of my body. This sensation settled in like this about 6 months ago. The seven months before I had flush attacks multiple times per day. Pins and needles like sensations that came in waves up my arms, torso and back/spine. I initially had a rash when started but after that nothing was visible, only the sensation. At times it would maximize in my head causing flashes of light followed by extreme anxiety. Like an electrical overload.

Do/did you get the sensations at all or was it mainly the rash?

I am red headed with fair skin and freckles. I’ve had FND for a couple of years and when I wake up each morning I have rosy red cheeks. There is no reason why I should have them although I am on permanent steroids. The rosy cheeks have started within the last 6 months and they last all day. I wear makeup to try and cover it as people tend to make comments about being in the sun etc
