when I get excited happy or get startled by a loud noise I make a loud squeaking /squealing noise sounds abit like a mouse on helium does anyone else get this or similar ??x

lol thanx oh I do I find it quite funny especially when I do it when I least expect it and I don't tell anyone about it so its a nice surprise when they hear it

Sorry to be so late with a reply to your question. Trying to catch up on reading but no excuse will do. I comment only because of something I experience.

I have a form of dystonia where the head and neck can be pulled violently downward. The result is I often give out a high pitch sound during that process which I have been told may be the result of air being squeezed thru the larynx in a spasm even though I am not speaking or forming sound. Its weird. Family laughs. I don't because the whole thing hurts.

I have way too many symptoms going on. Hope in every way this is not what you are experiencing.

I don't think its quite the same thankyou for replying though as I will keep this in mind I have issues with getting words out of my head to my mouth and then stutter them and I think its a similar kind of thing just when I laugh get excited it is amusing to others and sometimes me but I don't like doing it at all but the more I try and stop the more I do it . your symptom sounds very painful and I'm sorry to hear that they laugh when they know how painful it is mine just strains my throat sometimes x I hope u have ahealthy day too x
